Job summary

American Hospital Dubai seeks a seasoned Learning and Development partner for nursing units to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate education programs that ensure staff competence and align with JCIA standards.

As a mentor and unit level resource, you will conduct teaching sessions, develop competency assessments, maintain attendance databases, and collaborate with the Nursing Manager to drive ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (minimum three years full-time) or degree in Nursing with RN registration.
• UAE nationals: UAE/non-UAE university graduates are exempt from experience/clinical training for the applied title.
• Non-UAE graduates from UAE universities must complete six months of clinical training after graduation.
• Must hold valid license/registration to practice in home country or country of last employment.
• Must hold a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing unit orientation and learning programs.
• Act as a mentor and clinical resource at the unit level.
• Conduct formal and informal teaching sessions at the unit level.
• Develop and implement competency-based assessment programs.
• Manage and maintain a computerized database for staff competency development plans and attendance.
• Provide regular updates to the department Manager.
• Participate in hospital-wide and nursing committees and quality improvement initiatives.
