We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to lead and oversee the full operational management of our client's nursery department in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who is passionate about early childhood care capable of driving high operational standards and committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.

This role is responsible for managing day‑to‑day nursery operations, supervising staff, coordinating schedules, overseeing supplies and requisitions, ensuring safety and hygiene compliance, and upholding quality childcare standards.

Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Oversee daily nursery operations to ensure a safe, caring, and productive environment.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly staff rotas to maintain adequate staffing levels.
  • Monitor staff attendance and punctuality, addressing any issues proactively.
  • Review and validate nursery requisitions and supply requests to avoid errors or overordering.
  • Ensure all orders are necessary, cost‑effective, and aligned with the approved budget.
  • Conduct periodic inventory checks of toys, learning materials, and consumables.
  • Follow up on comments, corrections, or pending requisitions to ensure proper resolution.

Staff Supervision & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise nursery assistants and caregivers.
  • Conduct regular staff performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate with HR for staff development programs.
  • Foster teamwork, professionalism, and strong communication among all staff.

Quality Assurance & Child Welfare

  • Ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children.
  • Maintain structured routines that support children's emotional, physical, and educational development.
  • Oversee hygiene practices and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Address feedback or complaints promptly and drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular observations of staff‑child interactions to maintain high quality standards.

Communication & Reporting

  • Serve as the primary liaison between nursery staff, HR, and senior management.
  • Provide regular reports on staffing, supplies, operational concerns, and overall performance.
