ENEC Operations is seeking a Shift Manager Mentor to develop the operational competency of Nuclear Shift Managers at Barakah. The role emphasizes mentoring, coaching, and hands-on guidance to uphold nuclear safety culture, conservative decision-making, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive nuclear plant experience, SRO certification, and a proven ability to transfer knowledge through structured programs, training collaboration, and lessons learned integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in nuclear power plant operations.
• Minimum 10 years in Shift Manager or equivalent role.
• Senior Reactor Operator license or equivalent certification.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing operations personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide structured one-on-one mentoring to Nuclear Shift Managers during live plant operations.
• Observe performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Promote nuclear safety culture and disciplined decision-making.
• Share best practices from high-performing US/UK nuclear plants to elevate ENEC standards.
• Collaborate with Operations Training on competency development and simulator design.
• Document lessons learned and integrate into training and operations.
• Support quality management and corrective action processes within mentoring outputs.
