Overview

The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team delivers mission-critical applications for premier enterprises around the world. Our cloud offers unmatched hyper-scale, multi-tenant services deployed in more than 30 regions worldwide. Our Network Acquisition and Delivery group is responsible for delivering critical circuit infrastructure (Backbone, Metro, IP Transit, etc.) for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and all other Oracle business units, including Oracle Health and Oracle CorpNet.

We are seeking a driven, strategic, technical Network Acquisition Manager with experience supporting a high-growth technology business. This position will work within the Network Acquisition and Delivery team within OCI Networking and will independently manage the acquisition and delivery of key network infrastructure in EMEA and JAPAC.

A successful candidate will have a blend of business knowledge, vendor relationships, regional expertise and technical skills that enables them to deliver mission critical network infrastructure to support Oracle's growth in the regions mentioned. The ideal candidate will operate independently across our organization, partnering with other leaders within Networking, Data Center, Region Build, Engineering and Operations. They will be accountable to ideate for and deliver on our critical projects, own monthly business review preparation, and contribute to vendor business reviews. They will also be responsible developing internal interval measurement mechanisms, while leading the team to improve efficiencies in the delivery process.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a vendor and a circuit delivery pipeline to deploy crucial network infrastructure on / before time for Oracle’s internal and external customers
  • Leverage regional knowledge and vendor relationships to drive critical deliveries on time
  • Work across teams to design and launch new processes, institute process improvements and automation, and ensure the achievement of process objectives. Abstract, organize, and structure process, objectives, and workflows.
  • Create and automate reporting, including monthly business reviews (MBRs).
  • Run programs independently, including critical projects, executive project reporting and execution.
  • Manage both technical and non-technical projects.
  • Identify and remove blockers for Oracle teams in the region.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience delivering network infrastructure in the Telecom, Datacenter, or Cloud Infrastructure industries.
  • Technical background in dark fiber, MOFN, managed wavelengths and IP services
  • Experience working cross functional with engineering, operations, and capacity planning teams.
  • Ability to work independently and propose solutions.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in Jira, Excel, PowerPoint, and Confluence.
