AMERICAN HOSPITAL is seeking an experienced nurse to provide age-specific, patient-centered care in a high-acuity environment. You will perform targeted assessments, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and manage critical care plans.

You will also handle dialysis-related tasks, including AVF/AVG access and hemodialysis sessions, following strict protocols. The role requires a nursing degree, active RN registration, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum three-year nursing program or equivalent.
• RN license or registration as RN from recognized countries.
• Must hold a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Provides age-specific patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process.
• Performs patient assessment using appropriate, problem-focused, and age-specific assessment techniques.
• Performs continual critical care assessment of patient and family's physical and psychological needs.
• Involves the patient, significant others, and health care providers in the plan of care when appropriate.
• Collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to provide patient care.
• Coordinates and plans critical care/clinical pathway, and prioritizes care based on individual needs.
• Initiates appropriate transfer plan.
• Recognizes subtle cues to anticipate potential problems.
• Documents all relevant data in the medical record according to hospital/departmental standards.
• Ensures availability and maintenance of supplies and equipment needed for the unit and patient care.
• Performs clerical duties when needed.
• Participates in JCIA mandatory education and unit committees.
• Inserts vascular access needles into AVF/AVG for hemodialysis.
• Starts and performs hemodialysis sessions per protocols.
• Ensures care and maintenance of hemodialysis catheters to prevent infections.
• Performs assessments such as vital signs and fluid balance monitoring.
• Cleans and disinfects hemodialysis machines and equipment.
