Job summary

SearchPlus HR is recruiting for a leading private hospital in the UAE seeking an experienced Specialist/Consultant Neonatologist. You will provide expert newborn care, manage NICU patients, and collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and nursing staff.

The role requires UK CCT or equivalent, postgraduate pediatrics and neonatology training, and UAE licensing eligibility. International applicants and relocation support may be available. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Recognized specialist qualification in Neonatology (e.g., UK CCT or equivalent).
• Appropriate postgraduate training in Pediatrics and Neonatology.
• Post-specialization clinical experience in neonatal care and NICU management.
• Current professional registration and certificate of good standing, where applicable.
• Eligibility for UAE healthcare licensing (DHA/DOH/MOHAP).

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage medical conditions affecting newborns, including premature and high-risk infants.
• Provide comprehensive care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and manage critically ill neonates.
• Manage neonatal respiratory distress, infections, jaundice, congenital conditions, and complications associated with prematurity.
• Perform neonatal procedures within the scope of training, clinical privileges, and professional competence.
• Monitor growth, development, and clinical progress, adjusting treatment plans as required.
• Coordinate with obstetricians, pediatricians, nurses, and other specialists to support high-risk deliveries and neonatal emergencies.
• Counsel parents regarding newborn conditions, treatment plans, prognosis, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with clinical protocols, infection-control standards, and patient-safety requirements.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
