Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years as a Construction Safety Officer in the UAE.
- Strong familiarity with UAE regulatory standards and construction site operations.
- EHSMS implementation, risk assessments, incident investigation, MSRA, and permit‑to‑work systems.
- Understanding the commercial impact of safety issues on operations.
- Proficient in English and Hindi (written and spoken).
- Computer literacy and strong reporting capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Implement the ALEC EHSMS across medium to low-risk projects.
- Develop and implement project-specific EHS and associated management plans.
- Conduct daily inspections and ensure effective closeout.
- Monitor EHSMS control implementation.
- Advise project teams on operational risk and promote a strong EHS culture.
- Maintain accurate project EHS statistics and records.
- Participate in incident investigations.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance and conduct EHS audits.
