Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking an NDT technician to perform VT, UT, MT, PT, RT and ET inspections on components and structural assemblies at our UAE site. You will ensure safety, quality and compliance with applicable specifications while producing concise findings.

The role requires NDT training per SNT-TC-1A and progression toward Level II, with on-site responsibilities and coordination with clients. UAE Nationals with a Family Book are preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• This role requires a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (E).
• ND T training per SNT-TC-1A with progression to Level II based on on-site experience.
• IRATA Rope Access Level 1 is a site-specific requirement.

Responsibilities

• Undertake VT, UT, MT, PT, RT, ET inspections on components and assemblies.
• Ensure work area safety and compliance with specifications.
• Perform risk assessments as required and communicate findings.
• Test routine equipment and consumables; report issues to supervision.
• Evaluate test results per applicable specification and document findings.
• Prepare clear inspection reports noting limitations or test restrictions.
• Meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities and client needs.
• Operate according to Oceaneering and client procedures and requirements.
• Carry out additional duties as directed by management.
• Perform tasks in alignment with HSSEQ Integrated Management System.

To perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques on components, pipework and structural assemblies to assess compliance with applicable specifications and acceptance criteria.

Functions

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Undertake Visual Testing [VT], Ultrasonic Testing [UT], Magnetic Particle Testing [MT], Penetrant Testing [PT], Radiographic Testing [RT], Eddy Current Testing {ET] techniques to components requiring inspection.
• Ensure that work area is safe to carry out NDT activities.
• Undertake Risk Assessments/Take 2 as required.
• Ensure inspection is undertaken within the parameters of the applicable specification.
• Perform routine equipment / consumable function tests to ensure everything is in good working order. Any issues must be reported directly to supervision.
• Evaluate results of the test in accordance with applicable specification.
• Produce a clear and concise report detailing the methods used in and results of the inspection and all finding noting any limitations / test restrictions is applicable.
• Undertake work in a timely and efficient manner to meet deadlines, changing priorities when the situation requires.
• Undertake work in accordance with Oceaneering & Client operating procedures and statutory/client specifications and requirements.
• Undertake any other duties of a reasonable nature as required by Oceaneering Management.
• Execute work in accordance with Oceaneering Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and Quality Systems.

Non-essential

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

NDT training shall be undertaken during the secondment period, in accordance with SNT-TC-1A requirements. Advancement to SNT Level II will follow upon satisfactory completion of on-site experience.
