Job summary

Core42 in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is seeking a Security Engineer to design, implement, and optimize Corelight NDR and Cloudflare security across enterprise and cloud environments.

You will collaborate with SOC, Network Engineering, and Security Architecture to strengthen the organisation's cyber defence posture. Requires 5-7 years of cybersecurity experience and hands-on with Corelight NDR, Zeek, Suricata, and Cloudflare services; certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Security or IT Engineering.
• 5-7 years of cybersecurity experience managing network security technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Corelight NDR or Zeek-based solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Cloudflare security services.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, manage and maintain Corelight sensors across enterprise, cloud and data centre environments.
• Develop and optimise network detection use cases leveraging Zeek, Suricata, Corelight Smart PCAP and threat intelligence integrations.
• Ensure complete east-west and north-south traffic visibility and establish network baselines.
• Integrate Corelight with SIEM and SOC platforms and monitor health and capacity of NDR infrastructure.
• Develop and tune custom Corelight detections and conduct proactive threat hunting using network telemetry and logs.
• Deliver Zero Trust security using Cloudflare Access, Secure Web Gateway, and DNS security policies.
