Role Overview

The Mountain Bike Instructor & Bike Technician will lead and instruct a range of mountain biking sessions for students and adult groups, while maintaining and servicing the company\'s fleet of mountain bikes. The role combines instructional delivery with technical maintenance responsibilities to ensure a high standard of safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and safe mountain bike sessions across a range of ability levels, from introductory to advanced trails.
• Conduct pre-ride briefings, skills coaching, and route management in line with company standards and risk assessments.
• Perform regular bike inspections, maintenance, and repairs, including drivetrain servicing, brake and suspension tuning, and wheel truing.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment use, servicing schedules, and incident reports.
• Support wider outdoor education programs, including team-building and multi-activity days, when required.
• Uphold Absolute Adventure\'s commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and experiential learning.

Essential Requirements

• Recognized Mountain Bike Instructor qualification (e.g., MIAS, British Cycling MTB Leadership, or equivalent).
• Proven experience guiding or coaching mountain biking sessions for youth or adults.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of mountain bikes, with practical experience in servicing and repairs.
• Valid First Aid certification (Outdoor First Aid preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit, safety-conscious, and capable of working in outdoor environments under UAE conditions.

Desirable Attributes

• Experience working within outdoor education or expedition environments.
• Multi-activity instructional qualifications (e.g., climbing, kayaking, hiking).
• UAE driving license or willingness to transfer to.
