Qualifications

• 3+ years as automotive technician or vehicle inspector.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems across multiple makes.
• Hands-on with diagnostic scanners and thickness gauges.
• Fluent English; Russian language a plus.
• Valid driving license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pre-purchase inspections of passenger cars, SUVs, and light commercial vehicles (150+ inspection points).
• Inspect body and paintwork for accident damage, repairs, repainting, rust, and panel gaps using a paint thickness gauge.
• Assess engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, exhaust and cooling systems for wear, leaks, and faults.
• Run OBD-II diagnostics to read fault codes, check live data, and identify electronic or sensor issues.
• Check electrical systems, lighting, infotainment, climate control and safety features (airbags, ABS, ADAS).
• Evaluate interior condition, including upholstery, controls, and signs of flood or fire damage.
• Inspect tires, wheels, and undercarriage condition.
• Conduct road tests to evaluate engine performance, gear shifting, braking, handling and unusual noises or vibrations.
• Verify VIN, service history and mileage accuracy; flag odometer tampering.
• Prepare clear inspection reports with photos, severity ratings, and estimated repair costs.
• Explain findings to clients professionally by phone or in person.
• Travel to dealerships, private sellers, and auctions for on-site inspections.
• Maintain inspection tools and equipment in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pre-purchase inspections of passenger cars, SUVs, and light commercial vehicles, covering 150+ inspection points.
• Inspect the body and paintwork for accident damage, repairs, repainting, rust, and panel gaps, using a paint thickness gauge.
• Assess the engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brakes, exhaust, and cooling systems for wear, leaks, and faults.
• Run computer diagnostics (OBD-II) to read fault codes, check live data, and identify electronic or sensor issues.
• Check electrical systems, lighting, infotainment, climate control, and safety features (airbags, ABS, ADAS).
• Evaluate the interior condition, including upholstery, controls, and signs of flood or fire damage.
• Inspect tires, wheels, and undercarriage condition.

• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems across a range of makes and models (European, Japanese, Korean, American).
• Hands-on experience with diagnostic scanners and paint thickness gauges.
• Ability to identify signs of previous accidents, structural repairs, and hidden defects.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
• Valid driving license and a clean driving record.
• Honesty, impartiality, and a commitment to protecting the client's interests.

Nice to Have

• Automotive technical certification (e.g., ASE or equivalent).
• Experience with hybrid and electric vehicles, including battery health assessment.
