About the Role

• The Motor Insurance Underwriter will organize and analyze underwriting information while maintaining systematic computerized records related to premiums and insurance transactions.
• The position supports effective control of the company 's underwriting business through accurate risk assessment, timely processing, and adherence to established guidelines.
• The role covers both new and renewal business and requires careful review of client risk information, claims history, policy terms, endorsements, and service requests.

What You Will Do

• Assess and underwrite motor insurance applications in accordance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Handle day-to-day underwriting activities promptly while following prescribed guidelines and procedures.
• Review client risk management information, claims history, and other relevant details when determining coverage and premium rates.
• Scrutinize new submissions and analyze individual risks in line with established Underwriting Guidelines.
• Support sound underwriting decisions through accurate analysis of available risk information.
• Process new and renewal policy documentation accurately.
• Prepare and process applicable Terms and Conditions and endorsement documentation.
• Handle service requests within defined KPIs and ensure documentation is delivered to clients within agreed timelines.
• Maintain systematic computerized records relating to premiums and underwriting activities.
• Provide a high standard of customer experience to business partners and clients.
• Prioritize underwriting workloads to meet agreed turnaround times and deadlines.
