Job summary

ValueLabs seeks an experienced MongoDB specialist to manage advanced database systems and ensure high availability and performance. The role covers architecture, replica sets, sharding, Ops Manager, and robust backup strategies in a Linux environment.

The candidate will drive patching, upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning while collaborating with agile teams to deliver resilient data solutions across environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in MongoDB database administration.
• Deep knowledge of MongoDB architecture and internals.
• Strong expertise in replica set configurations and failover planning.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB sharding and data distribution strategies.
• Familiarity with Ops Manager for monitoring, automation and deployment.
• Proficient in backup and restore mechanisms for MongoDB clusters.
• Experience with patching and upgrades in production environments.
• Strong performance tuning and query optimization skills.
• Experience with database migrations and upgrades across environments.
• Good knowledge of MongoDB query language (MQL).
• Solid understanding of Unix/Linux administration in production.
