Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and interactive Social Studies lessons aligned with school curriculum standards and academic expectations
• Develop creative teaching strategies that inspire a love for Social Studies and strengthen critical thinking skills
• Support students in understanding history, geography, civics, culture, and global citizenship concepts
• Ensure continuity in curriculum delivery across middle school levels and maintain strong academic standards
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity, discussion, and exploration
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive academic feedback for improvement
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and high‑performing learning environment
• Participate in parent‑teacher conferences and maintain effective communication with families
• Contribute to school events, interdisciplinary projects, and wider academic programmes

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor of Education degree or an initial degree with PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent teaching qualification in Social Studies
• Proven experience teaching Middle School Social Studies, preferably within an American or IB curriculum school
• Strong knowledge of inquiry‑based learning and hands‑on Social Studies education
• Excellent classroom management and lesson planning skills
