The Middle School Mathematics Teacher will join Dubai American Academy for opportunities beginning in August 2026. The school delivers an American curriculum from PreK to Grade 12 and is authorized to provide the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The teacher will plan and deliver structured Mathematics lessons that build confidence in numerical concepts, algebra, geometry, data interpretation, mathematical reasoning, and real-world problem-solving. Teaching should encourage students to investigate ideas, explain their thinking, and apply mathematical knowledge independently. The role also includes student assessment, curriculum coordination, differentiated instruction, parent communication, and active participation in the wider academic and professional community of the school.
- Plan and deliver engaging Middle School Mathematics lessons aligned with the school 's curriculum and educational standards.
- Teach numerical operations, algebra, geometry, measurement, statistics, probability, and mathematical reasoning.
- Develop interactive learning activities that help students apply Mathematics to practical and real-world situations.
- Use inquiry-based and hands-on teaching methods to encourage curiosity, investigation, and independent thinking.
- Prepare clear lesson plans with measurable objectives, structured activities, and appropriate assessment methods.
- Ensure continuity and consistency in curriculum delivery across classes and grade levels.

- Bachelor of Education degree with a Mathematics specialization.
- Alternatively, a relevant bachelor 's degree with a PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent recognized teaching qualification in Mathematics.
- Proven experience teaching Middle School Mathematics.
- Previous teaching experience in an American curriculum or IB curriculum school is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Mathematics concepts appropriate for Middle School students.
- Understanding of inquiry-based, practical, and student-centered Mathematics education.
- Ability to design lessons that develop problem-solving, reasoning, and critical-thinking skills.
