Detailed Job Description

As an MI / Data Analyst supporting our operations in Abu Dhabi on a 6-month contract basis, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of management information systems, executive dashboard architecture, reporting governance, and data reconciliation. Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing and deploying advanced Power BI dashboards, writing complex DAX queries and SQL scripts, integrating and reconciling data streams from multiple business and operational systems, enforcing data quality validation controls, translating stakeholder requirements into measurable performance indicators, and communicating data limitations clearly to non-technical leadership. You will utilize your proactive troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills to resolve complex data anomalies under strict project delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain advanced executive dashboards and management information reports using Power BI.
• Write complex Power Query transformations, DAX measures, and optimized SQL queries for high-performance data modeling.
• Integrate, cleanse, and reconcile disparate data feeds from multiple business, operational, and financial systems.
• Establish and enforce rigorous data quality validation controls, data ownership frameworks, and reporting governance policies.
• Translate complex management questions and business requirements into clear, measurable key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Manage reporting workflows involving incomplete, evolving, or ambiguous data, communicating limitations transparently to stakeholders.
• Provide specialized technology, operational, and service-management reporting to executive leadership teams.
• Author meticulous technical documentation, data dictionary specifications, dashboard user guides, and data reconciliation audit logs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Technology, Economics, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 7+ years of progressive professional experience in management information, corporate reporting, or data analytics.
• Minimum of 3+ years of specialized professional experience working within the banking sector or another heavily regulated industry.
• Strong, demonstrable hands‑on expertise in advanced Power BI, Power Query, DAX formulas, SQL programming, and Microsoft Excel.
• Proven practical experience designing sophisticated management information systems and executive dashboards.
• Solid practical proficiency in integrating, reconciling, and validating data from multiple enterprise operational systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of data quality controls, data governance, validation methodologies, and reporting compliance.
• Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem‑solving capabilities under active enterprise environments.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with strong stakeholder presentation and cross‑functional abilities.
• Mandatory legal work eligibility and physical availability for the 6‑month contract assignment in Abu Dhabi.
