Job summary

GFiber, an Alphabet company delivering Google Fiber services nationwide, seeks a Network Deployment Leader to direct staging, configuration, provisioning, and production integration of metro network assets.

You will mentor a regional team of Network Deployment Engineers and serve as the primary regional contact for Network Architecture, Capacity Planning, and Data Center Operations, coordinating with hardware vendors and integrators to resolve issues and optimize costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 5 years in network engineering, infrastructure deployment, or data center engineering.
• Experience staging and commissioning enterprise or service provider routing/switching platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 5 years in network engineering, infrastructure deployment, or data center engineering
• Experience staging and commissioning enterprise or service provider-grade routing and switching platforms (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or Nokia)
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EVPN-VXLAN, and physical layer technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in hyper-scale cloud environments, tier-1 ISPs, or major telecommunications metro networks
• At least 2 years in a technical lead or people management role
