Job summary

Agile Consultants in UAE is seeking a skilled Design Draftsman to prepare detailed 2D/3D drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings for metal products and structures. You will interpret engineering designs and client requirements, revise drawings as needed, and collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production teams to ensure feasibility and manufacturability.

Experience 1–2 years in metal fabrication drafting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, Design Technology, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience as a Draftsman or Design Draftsman in metal fabrication, steel manufacturing, aluminium, or engineering industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory; experience with SolidWorks, Inventor, Tekla, or other 3D design software is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of sheet metal design, structural steel detailing, or metal manufacturing processes preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project documentation.
• Knowledge of CNC, laser cutting, bending, and fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with UAE industry standards and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design software.
• Interpret engineering designs, project specifications, and client requirements to develop accurate technical drawings.
• Revise and update drawings based on design changes, site conditions, or client feedback.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and production teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
• Maintain proper documentation and version control of all drawings and design files.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
• Support the estimation and project teams with technical drawings and design-related information when required.
• Assist in resolving design-related issues during fabrication and installation stages.
