Job summary

PPOAR in Sharjah is seeking a Merchandiser Assistant to support inventory management, sales data analysis and coordination with suppliers. The role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain product availability and display standards.

You will assist with purchase orders, monitor stock levels, and help plan promotions with the marketing team, while keeping accurate records of merchandise transactions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Understanding of retail math principles
• Knowledge of current market trends

Responsibilities

• Assist the merchandiser in creating and maintaining purchase orders
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products
• Analyze sales data and make recommendations for inventory levels and product assortment
• Communicate with vendors regarding product availability, pricing, and promotions
• Assist with visual merchandising by ensuring products are displayed attractively and in accordance with company guidelines
• Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns
• Conduct market research to identify new trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences
• Assist in creating reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and market trends
• Maintain accurate records of all merchandise transactions
