Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Merchandiser cum Sales Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing product assortment, optimizing sales through strategic merchandising, and maintaining a strong relationship with buyers, distribution teams, and retail outlets. This role combines sales strategy with inventory control and display management to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Plan product assortments and prepare sales and stock plans in coordination with buyers.
- Liaise with buyers, retail outlets, and the distribution team to ensure seamless product flow and availability.
- Maintain a comprehensive and updated library of sales, stock, and market trend data.
- Collaborate with visual merchandising teams and store managers to determine optimal product displays to boost sales.
- Prepare and present budget plans, sales forecasts, and performance reports for new product ranges.
- Monitor stock levels and adjust inventory based on seasonal forecasts and market demand.
- Analyze bestsellers by identifying key factors such as pricing, style, packaging, and consumer preferences to optimize sales performance.
- Keep track of competitors' pricing, product strategies, and market trends.
- Identify slow-moving stock and propose markdowns, promotions, or bundling strategies to clear inventory.
- Collect and analyze customer feedback and buying patterns to refine product offerings and marketing strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Proven experience in merchandising and sales, preferably in FMCG or beverage/water industry.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel and sales forecasting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally with teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets.
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior and retail dynamics.
