Job summary

Drake & Scull International is seeking a detail-oriented QA/QC Inspector (MEP) to support project quality control across MEP installations. The role ensures materials and workmanship meet approved drawings, specifications, ITPs and project standards.

The successful candidate will perform inspections, maintain quality records, and coordinate consultant inspections while ensuring timely closure of comments and documentation for testing, commissioning and handover.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Engineering background in Mechanical/Electrical.
• Minimum 4 years of MEP QA/QC inspection experience in contracting projects.
• Knowledge of ITPs, method statements, material approvals, inspection requests and consultant inspection procedures.
• Experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and/or fire protection inspections.
• ISO 9001 awareness or QA/QC training certification.
• Experience supporting testing, commissioning and handover dossiers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine quality inspections for MEP works, materials, installations, testing and snag clearance activities.
• Verify that works are executed in line with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and ITP requirements.
• Prepare and maintain inspection checklists, WIR/IR records, MIR support records, NCR observations and quality documentation.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors and subcontractors to ensure inspection readiness and timely closure of comments.
• Support consultant/client inspections and follow up on corrective actions until closure.
• Monitor material handling, storage and installation practices to prevent quality non-conformances.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover documentation as required.
