Job summary

Fatherson International is seeking a skilled Mechanical Draftsman to develop HVAC duct layouts, piping, and ventilation drawings for UAE MEP projects. You will produce equipment layouts, sections, and installation drawings in coordination with electrical, plumbing, and firefighting teams.

The role requires a Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years of drafting experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of Revit MEP.

Qualifications

Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in mechanical drafting, preferably UAE MEP projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP is an advantage.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Strong coordination skills and ability to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

Develop HVAC duct layouts, chilled water piping layouts, and ventilation drawings.
Prepare equipment layouts, sections, details, and mechanical installation drawings.
Prepare drawings for air conditioning systems, exhaust systems, fresh air systems, and ventilation systems.
Coordinate mechanical drawings with electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and other MEP services.
Review drawings against approved design drawings, project specifications, and consultant requirements.
Incorporate consultant comments and revise drawings as required.
Ensure drawings comply with applicable UAE standards, project specifications, and authority requirements.
Coordinate with mechanical engineers, MEP coordinators, site teams, and consultants.
Prepare as-built drawings based on actual site conditions and installation details.
