Job description

Our client is a leading main contractor specialising in data centre projects across the UAE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works for the data centre project, ensuring compliance with design, codes, and client requirements.
  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of critical systems such as HVAC, UPS, generators, fire suppression, and BMS to ensure operational reliability.
  • Coordinate closely with design consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project timelines.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, procurement, and cost forecasts for all MEP packages.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards across all MEP activities.
  • Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and method statements for accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage MEP subcontractors, ensuring quality, performance, and timely delivery of works.
  • Support integrated systems testing and handover documentation to guarantee readiness for live operations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in MEP management, with at least 3–5 years in data centre or mission‑critical facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, UPS, generators, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
  • Proven track record in leading large‑scale MEP packages from design through to commissioning and handover.
  • Familiarity with international standards and codes relevant to data centres (e.g., Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC).
  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience in budgeting, procurement, and contract management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality results within fast‑track project environments.
