Job summary

Nova International General Contracting is seeking an MEP Inspector to inspect and monitor MEP-related infrastructure and external works undertaken by subcontractors in Abu Dhabi. The role requires ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project standards, and authority requirements.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3–5 years of relevant infrastructure experience, with strong site inspection, reporting, coordination, and communication

Job Description

Responsible for inspecting and monitoring MEP-related infrastructure and external works undertaken by subcontractors, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project standards, and authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect MEP installation works and monitor subcontractor activities.
• Supervise inspection of electrical, lighting, telecommunications, and associated external MEP infrastructure works.
• Verify installations against approved shop drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Coordinate inspection requests and approvals with the Consultant.
• Witness testing and commissioning activities as required.
• Monitor workmanship, materials, installation methods, and compliance with approved requirements.
• Identify defects, clashes, and non-compliant works and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Coordinate MEP works with civil, road, utility, landscape, and other disciplines.
• Maintain inspection records, test reports, and quality documentation.
• Support final inspections, snagging, testing, commissioning, authority approvals, and handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering,
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure.
• Strong site inspection, reporting, coordination, and communication skills.
