Job summary

STIINE Electromechanical Works LLC in Dubai seeks an experienced Electrical Site Engineer to manage on-site electrical installations, testing, and commissioning for MEP projects. You will translate drawings into field work, ensure compliance with IEC/BS standards and local regulations, and coordinate with subcontractors.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 10–12 years of field experience in building construction or MEP projects, with strong leadership,

• 10–12 years of continuous field experience in building construction or MEP projects.
• Deep familiarity with local utility regulations, IEC/BS standards, and testing procedures.
• Strong team leadership abilities, problem-solving skills, and clear verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Field Installation: Supervise on-site electrical installation works including containment cabling and panel boards.
• Drawing Coordination: Review shop drawings and single-line diagrams to detect clashes with structures.
• Authority Approvals: Ensure installations meet local regulatory standards (e.g., Municipality, Civil Defense).
• Documentation: Manage TDS, drawing submittals, WIR, MIR, test reports and as-built drawings.
• Subcontractor Control: Monitor subcontractor productivity and approve monthly invoices.
• Progress Reporting: Maintain site diaries and generate daily/weekly reports for the PM.
• Labor & Material: Plan manpower and materials to meet milestones; coordinate with procurement.
• Testing & Commissioning: Direct testing and commissioning of panels and systems.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce LOTO and site safety procedures.

Electrical Site Engineer

Job Summary

The Electrical Site Engineer will manage the execution installation and testing of all on-site electrical systems including power distribution lighting low current ELV and fire alarm works You will bridge the gap between engineering drawings and field installation ensuring all works comply with approved plans local authority regulations and quality standards

Key Responsibilities

• Field Installation Supervise on-site electrical installation works including containment cabling panel boards ELV and finishing fixtures
• Drawing Coordination Review electrical shop drawings and single-line diagrams to detect and resolve clashes with mechanical or civil structures
• Authority Approvals Assist in ensuring installations meet local regulatory authority standards e.g local Authority Municipality Civil Defense
• Documentation Inspection Raise and close out Technical Data sheets TDS Drawing Submittals Work Inspection Requests WIR Material Inspection Requests MIR Test Reports as built drawings Commissioning Reports of the project and with the consultant
• Subcontractor Control Monitor subcontractor productivity inspect their work quality and verify their monthly progress invoices
• Progress Reporting Maintain accurate site diaries and generate clear daily weekly progress reports for the MEP Project Manager
• Labor Material requirement Monitor daily manpower and material requirements based on planned site activities Track workforce attendance productivity and resource utilization ensuring adequate labor and materials are available to achieve project milestones Coordinate with subcontractors and the procurement team to prevent delays and maintain continuous site progress
• Testing Commissioning Direct the continuity insulation and functional testing of panels and systems during the commissioning phase
• Safety Compliance Enforce strict adherence to site safety rules and electrical lockout tagout LOTO safety procedures

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 10-12 years of continuous field experience in building construction or MEP projects.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep familiarity with local utility regulations, international standards (e.g., IEC, BS standards), and testing procedures.
• Software: Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools.
• Skills: Strong team leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and clear verbal communication.
