MEP Design Engineer (HVAC & FPS)

Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced MEP HVAC & FPS engineer to design and coordinate HVAC systems for substations and to ensure compliance with NBC, NFPA, and IS codes. You will prepare layouts, BOQs, technical specifications, and tender documents, while interfacing with electrical and civil teams for integrated design.

You will also evaluate vendor offers, review drawings, and support site execution, testing, and commissioning activities with 7–10 years of relevant experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7–10 years of experience in HVAC & Fire protection systems for industrial/substation projects.
• Experience in Abu Dhabi projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordination of HVAC for substations.
• Design and coordination of Firefighting systems (Hydrant, Water spray, Fire detection & alarm, Gas suppression, Heat tracing).
• Coordinate with Developer, consultants, and local authorities.
• Prepare HVAC & FPS layouts, BOQs, technical specifications, and tender documents.
• Interface with electrical and civil teams for integrated design.
• Conduct technical evaluation of vendor offers and review HVAC & FPS drawings.
• Ensure compliance with NBC, NFPA, IS codes, and client requirements.
• Support site execution, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Experience in Abu Dhabi projects is advantageous.
