Role Summary

Are you a Western Educated Managing Quantity Surveyor / MEP Cost Manager with a wealth of experience in the UAE handling Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing contracts across the Residential & Mixed Use Sector in the United Arab Emirates ?

You will have clear experience pre & post contract. You will be able to provide insight and cost expertise for Major MEP components. Can you build close working relationships with Major Developers ?

Key Responsibilities

• Experience of pre-contract services from feasibility through to tendering, measurement of building works for estimating, report writing and preparation of Bills of Quantities and tender documentation.
• Procuring, negotiating & driving the Design & Build Process.
• Commercial & Contracts experience of: post-contract services, interim applications, change management, variation valuation and extension of time claims.
• FIDIC contract experience in the UAE.
• Confident - able to client face and present at all times.
• Full 360 experience of bid, cost plan and commercial final account.
• Managing & mentoring your MEP & QS team.

Non-Negotiables

• Degree in Quantity Surveying (Needed for client sign off)
• Minimum of 7 years post graduate experience
• UAE experience is essential.
• Prior consultancy experience is desired.
• Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management & value engineering.
• Knowledge of CostX + BIM needed.
• Present monthly and quarterly figures to the client.
