Job summary

Boeing International Corporation United Arab Emirates seeks a Regional Director Government Relations (MENA) to develop, coordinate and implement advocacy on telecommunications and radio frequency spectrum policy in Europe, Middle East and North Africa.

The role requires deep regulatory knowledge and the ability to build coalitions with government officials and industry leaders; English and Arabic fluency are preferred, with up to 30% travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of government relations experience with telecommunications or radio frequency spectrum regulatory and policy issues.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in government affairs preferably on telecommunications radio frequency spectrum, aviation, satellite or defense issues.
• English language proficiency (both written and spoken) is required.
• Arabic language proficiency (both written and spoken) is required.
• Willing to travel up to 30% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Represent Boeing’s interests on telecommunications policy and licensing issues before government agencies, international and intergovernmental organizations, trade and industry associations within the assigned geographic area.
• Support advocacy efforts before CEPT and ASMG as well as regional satellite and aviation-related telecommunications and radio frequency spectrum groups.
• Obtain telecommunications licenses and authorizations in support of Boeing programs, products, and services as needed.
• Establish and maintain close contact with internal engineering and business leaders to understand regulatory and policy requirements, particularly Boeing leadership in EMEA.
• Write concise internal memos, external regulatory filings and presentations to executive-level audiences, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical readers.
• Work with all groups within the organization, being responsive to requests for support in a timely manner.
• Work on multiple parallel issues, demonstrating English language and writing skills and the ability to work closely with a small remote team; Arabic language ability is advantageous.
