Job summary

First Medical Center in Abu Dhabi seeks an Associate Staff Physician in Medical Oncology to provide comprehensive cancer care. You will evaluate patients, design individualized treatment plans, and coordinate multidisciplinary services to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes evidence-based oncology practice, clear patient communication, and collaboration with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists and nurses.

Qualifications

• Recognized specialist qualification in Medical Oncology or an accepted relevant specialty.
• Experience appropriate to the Associate Staff Physician role and UAE licensing criteria.
• Eligibility for, or an active licence from, the relevant UAE health authority, as required.

Responsibilities

• Assess oncology patients and review diagnostic findings.
• Develop individualized oncology treatment plans per diagnosis and guidelines.
• Prescribe and monitor systemic anticancer treatments within clinical privileges.
• Monitor treatment response and manage side effects.
• Coordinate care with surgical, radiation, pathology, and radiology teams.
• Explain diagnoses and options to patients and caregivers.
• Support palliative care when appropriate and maintain medical records.
