ERC International Human Resources Consultancies invites applicants for a Medical Laboratory Technologist position in Abu Dhabi. The role covers investigations, specimen processing, andrology procedures, and quality control to ensure accurate results under DOH and CAP standards.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology.
• UAE National (Emirati); Family Book required by law.
• Fresh graduates may be considered, subject to DOH licensing eligibility.
• Valid DOH license or completed Dataflow verification preferred.
• Candidates without a DOH license may be considered, subject to meeting DOH licensing requirements and availability to join at the earliest.
• Good analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety, quality control and documentation procedures.

Responsabilidades

Job description

Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing laboratory investigations, specimen processing, quality control and andrology-related procedures while ensuring accurate results, patient safety and compliance with DOH regulations and laboratory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, receive, identify and process patient specimens in accordance with established laboratory protocols.
• Perform laboratory investigations, testing and analysis within the authorized DOH scope of practice.
• Conduct andrology procedures, including semen analysis, sperm preparation and sperm washing for assisted reproductive treatments.
• Assist with sperm preparation for IUI and other fertility-related procedures, subject to competency and authorization.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Perform internal quality control, calibration and routine equipment checks.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, test results and documentation.
• Ensure proper specimen handling, storage, disposal and adherence to infection control and biosafety protocols.
• Coordinate daily laboratory activities, workflow, sample tracking, inventory and consumables.
• Coordinate with clinicians, nurses and laboratory team members to ensure timely processing and reporting of results.
• Maintain compliance with DOH, CAP and applicable laboratory quality standards.

General Responsibilities: Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department (HOD) and other computer, paper related tasks to lab management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology only.
• Degrees in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetics or other related disciplines will not be considered.
• UAE National (Emirati). Family Book: Required by law
• Fresh graduates may be considered, subject to DOH licensing eligibility.
• Valid DOH license or completed Dataflow verification preferred.
• Candidates without a DOH license may be considered, subject to meeting applicable DOH licensing requirements and availability to join at the earliest.

Scope of Practice

All laboratory testing and andrology procedures must be performed within the approved DOH scope of practice, based on appropriate training, demonstrated competency and applicable laboratory authorizations.
