Job description

Formulating and implementing the clinical strategy, in line with the Group Clinical Strategy, ensuring that the range of clinical services provided is appropriate and sustainable.
As the most senior clinician, provide leadership to, and management of clinical staff via delegated authority to Heads of Departments.
Ensure that the performance of clinical staff is conducive to the delivery of the clinical and business strategy of the organisation.
Monitors, manages and evaluates organisational performance and resources to achieve desired results and optimise operation efficiency.
Work with other senior managers and participates in the overall management of the hospital
Applies financial controls within the clinical function of the hospital, including compiling, justifying and controlling budgets and monitoring expenses
Mutual beneficial relations are developed and maintained with relevant stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Employ medical practitioners with assistance from the Human Resources Department.

Job Skills

Consultant /Specialist level medical qualification from an accredited University.
Post graduate business or management qualification will be an advantage.
Minimum of 15 years clinical practice experience.
Experience to include clinical governance, clinical audit processes and quality assurance standards within a general hospital setting.
Appropriate leadership and managerial qualities and experience leading a diverse, multicultural clinical team (Physicians, Nursing, Allied Health).
Keen interest and ability to formulate and implement clinical strategy to ensure solid clinical outcomes and business results.
Appropriate planning and organising abilities suitable for a senior level position.
Knowledge of the medical licensing regulatory requirements, medico-legal processes and ethical issues will be an advantage.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal as well as external stakeholders.
Must be fluent in English.
Computer skills at intermediate level
