QA Coordinator
Role Summary
The QA Coordinator acts as a conduit and quality control for audio, video, and associated metadata being installed on various in‑flight entertainment hardware. There are aspects of video / audio QC, file management, and administrative / documentation work. The role requires good computer literacy, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in Excel is a must. Attention to detail in QC processes / reporting for digital media is key to ensuring a quality product is delivered on time. Each day brings different tasks, experiences, and challenges.

What You’ll Be Doing
- QA Team receives input from other teams in the industry, working directly with the programming, scheduling, media ops, metadata teams, OEMs and in few cases the client. Interfacing in a positive, competent and professional way helps the work go smoothly, and is expected.
- You will spend time confirming that video, audio and metadata meets the necessary technical and quality requirements. These requirements are designed to ensure that the product is in tune with the client’s expectations and ensure an excellent passenger experience.
- Testing media at the external IFE Hardware facility to ensure functionality before releasing to our clients.
- Check the content for compliance measures regarding regional sensitivity and ensure the guidelines are adhered to rigorously without deviation.
- You will also spend time documenting the results of the above testing and communicate these results out to the necessary individuals; This often takes the form of filling in testing grids, opening trouble tickets, documenting when corrections have been verified, and summarizing results.
- The workflow is entirely digital. Files and documentation are handled across multiple shared network locations, web apps and cloud services. Therefore you must be organized and computer literate in order to manage your work within the systems.

What We’re Looking For
- 0 - 2 years experience in IFE or a related field (media, broadcasting etc).
- General knowledge of popular TV, movies and audio.
- High level of experience with MS Office – Word, Excel, Access.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets.
- High level of English grammar and spelling.
- High level of Arabic grammar and spelling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – face to face, email, online meetings, and IM / Teams.
- Patience and an analytical approach to tasks and problem solving.
- Experience in video QC.
- Ability to handle tedious tasks.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.

- Familiarity with IFE systems a plus.
- Experience in video / audio encoding, encryption, DRM a plus.
- Experience in any programming language or Linux a plus.
