Job summary

Khatib & Alami International is hiring a Site Inspector - Mechanical for Al Ain Projects in Abu Dhabi. The role oversees inspection of construction sites, ensuring activity aligns with drawings, specs, and client requirements, while enforcing quality and HSSE policies throughout contractors and subcontractors’ work.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, strong site inspection experience, and fluency in Arabic and English, with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction supervision services.
• Understanding of international engineering standards and codes.
• Proficient in spoken and written Arabic and English.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with managing client relations and expectations.
• Support Project Managers with responding to client clarifications on technical and contractual issues.
• Ensure client satisfaction with construction supervision services.
• Review contractor’s work program during the pre-construction phase.
• Review contractors’ submittals including shop drawings and method statements.
• Maintain familiarity with construction drawings, specs and standards.
• Work with Planning Engineers for monitoring daily site activities.
• Conduct inspections on construction works as per contractor requests.
• Perform quality inspections with QA/QC and raise issues.
• Monitor HSSE procedures on sites and record HC non-conformities.
• Supervise material testing and sample checks against specs.
• Assist in reviewing and responding to contractor claims on scope, schedule, cost.
