Job summary

A leading oil and gas company in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician with experience in maintaining industrial systems and TIG/ARC welding certification. This role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical faults, and ensuring equipment reliability. The ideal candidate holds a diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years of experience in the oil and gas sector. Comprehensive HSE compliance and safety are paramount.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years’ experience in oil & gas or industrial coating plant maintenance.
  • Certified in TIG (GTAW) and ARC (SMAW) welding.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with API, ASME, and AWS standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, conveyors, and piping systems.
  • Conduct TIG and ARC welding for fabrication and repair of plant structures.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical faults and carry out repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Assist with installation and alignment of new machinery and equipment.
  • Follow HSE standards and maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain maintenance records and support reliability improvement efforts.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and fabricating mechanical systems and equipment in an oil and gas coating plant. Performs TIG (GTAW) and ARC (SMAW) welding on plant components to ensure safe and efficient operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, conveyors, coating line equipment, and piping systems.
  • Conduct TIG and ARC welding for fabrication and repair of plant structures, supports, and tanks.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Assist with installation and alignment of new machinery and coating equipment.
  • Follow HSE standards, permit-to-work, and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Maintain maintenance records and support reliability improvement efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Maintenance.
