JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Mechanical Foreman / Supervisor (PA)
Qualification & Experience
- BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10-15 years of experience in installation, repair, testing and maintenance of a wide range of mechanical equipment.
- Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry experience is preferred.
- Fair knowledge of English.
- Experience in ADNOC projects and compliance with ADNOC HSE standards will be an advantage.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and obtain work permits in accordance with COMPANY HSE standards.
- Prepare comprehensive daily activity reports covering the cause of faults, nature of work, materials, manpower and time required to complete the job.
- Identify and obtain required spare parts, tools and equipment for maintenance activities.
- Complete necessary maintenance records and provide work-order failure history reporting.
- Carry out major equipment overhaul activities and accurately check clearances, tolerances and alignment.
- Report equipment condition and recommend usage or replacement of parts to the COMPANY Engineer to ensure continuous equipment availability.
- Perform the Performing Authority (PA) role in the e-WMS system for Permit to Work (PTW).
- Use SAP Maintenance Software for maintenance activities and work-order management.
- Ensure the safety of all staff under supervision.
- Prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Formal Risk Assessment (FRA) covering job-related risks and appropriate mitigation measures.
- Follow JSA, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), material-handling and WMS procedures during maintenance activities.
- Supervise the installation, maintenance, repair and testing of mechanical equipment.
- Carry out skilled mechanical fault finding, diagnosis and repair of defective equipment based on predictive checks or equipment failures reported by the Operations Department.
- Perform routine, preventive and predictive maintenance inspections and testing on operating equipment and machinery.
- Take accurate measurements of clearances, tolerances and alignment within acceptable limits.
- Use precision measuring and maintenance tools including laser alignment tools, Vernier calipers, micrometers and bore gauges.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the work area and process unit.
- Ensure compliance with all Company HSE guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Fully comply with HSE procedures and reporting requirements.
- Maintain proper records of daily work activities.
- Close work orders in SAP with complete maintenance history and attach required inspection/check sheets.
- Ensure proper use and control of hand tools and power tools.
- Supervise and coordinate manpower to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.

HSE Responsibilities
- Ensure strict compliance with Company HSE requirements.
- Conduct and follow JSA and Formal Risk Assessments before execution of work.
- Ensure proper implementation of LOTO and WMS procedures.
- Ensure safe working practices for all personnel under supervision.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safe working conditions at all times.
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents and maintenance-related hazards as required.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Approximately 90% of working time may be spent in prevailing environmental and process-unit conditions.
- The role requires frequent walking, standing, bending and handling of medium-weight materials and equipment.
- The position requires regular use of a variety of hand tools and power tools.
- Candidates should be physically fit to perform field-based mechanical maintenance activities.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates with 1015 years of mechanical maintenance experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Refinery environments, particularly those with experience in ADNOC projects, rotating equipment, equipment overhaul, PTW/Performing Authority, e-WMS, SAP, JSA, FRA, LOTO and ADNOC HSE standards, will be preferred.
