Job summary

The Boring Company seeks Mechanical Engineering Interns to support the development and delivery of tunneling systems. You will own defined engineering projects, work with experienced engineers, and contribute to hardware built and tested on site.

Strong candidates enjoy designing, building, testing, and solving real engineering problems. As an intern, you will design components, create drawings, and assist with fabrication, assembly, and testing while adhering to UAE safety regulations and site

Qualifications

Pursuing bachelor's or master's in Mechanical Engineering.
Familiarity with SolidWorks or another parametric 3D CAD platform.
Hands-on experience with fabrication, machining, assembly, robotics, testing, or mechanical projects.
Ability to work onsite in Dubai for the internship period.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Design or support the design of TBM components and related equipment.
Create 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and BOMs.
Assist with mechanism design, machine components, and hydraulic systems.
Support fabrication, assembly, inspection, testing, and commissioning of mechanical hardware.
Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot equipment and field issues.
Participate in design reviews, testing, and failure investigations.
Track project progress and communicate risks and schedule changes.
