Job summary

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of UAE experience in MEP construction and site supervision.
• Proven experience in industrial and steel structure projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing and drainage, firefighting systems, and external utility services.
• Good knowledge of UAE codes, standards, and authority requirements, including ADCD, TAQA, and other Abu Dhabi regulations.
• Experience in reviewing Shop Drawings, Material Submittals, Method Statements and Technical submissions.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and technical reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site mechanical works ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, quality, and contract requirements.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, method statements, ITPs, and technical documents for compliance.
• Carry out site inspections, verify workmanship, identify non-conformances, and ensure corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Contractors, Consultants, Clients, and authorities to resolve issues.
• Monitor construction progress and prepare inspection reports and progress updates.
• Ensure mechanical work aligns with quality plans, safety requirements, procedures, and regulations.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical support during project execution.
• Report to Site Resident Engineer and assist in engineering, supervision, and related duties.

Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Consultancy team for building projects in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising mechanical works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, and relevant UAE authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise mechanical works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
• Review and evaluate shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, ITPs, and other technical documents submitted by the contractor to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable codes and standards.
• Carry out site inspections of mechanical works, verify workmanship and material compliance, identify non-conformances, and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Coordinate with the Contractors, Consultants, Clients, and relevant authorities to resolve technical and construction-related issues.
• Monitor construction progress and prepare inspection reports, site observations, and progress updates.
• Ensure that all Mechanical work is executed in accordance with project quality plans, safety requirements, approved procedures, and authority regulations.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical support during project execution.
• Report directly to the Site Resident Engineer and perform all Engineering, supervision, inspection, coordination, and related duties assigned to support the successful delivery of the project..

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of UAE experience in MEP construction and site supervision.
