Unknown company is seeking a Lifting Engineer in the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi region, to conduct inspections, testing, and certification of lifting equipment and accessories.
The role involves preparing lifting plans, risk assessments, and method statements, performing site inspections, verifying certificates and records, and ensuring compliance with UAE lifting regulations and international standards. Strong reporting and coordination skills are essential.
Conduct thorough inspection, testing, and certification of lifting equipment, lifting appliances, and associated accessories.
Prepare and review Lifting Plans, Risk Assessments (RA), and Method Statements (MS) for lifting operations.
Carry out site inspections and identify unsafe conditions, defects, and potential lifting hazards.
Verify lifting equipment, accessories, SWL/WLL, certificates, and inspection records for compliance.
Ensure lifting operations comply with applicable UAE lifting regulations, safety requirements, and recognized international standards.
Prepare detailed inspection reports, examination reports, and technical documentation.
Provide technical recommendations regarding the safe use, maintenance, and suitability of lifting equipment.
Coordinate with clients, site teams, operators, riggers, and other relevant personnel during inspection and lifting activities.
Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure all documentation is completed and controlled in accordance with company procedures.
Support the implementation of HSE requirements and promote safe lifting practices at client sites.
Keep up to date with applicable lifting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering – Mandatory.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Lifting Engineer.
Proven experience in lifting equipment inspection, lifting operations, and technical assessment.
Strong ability to prepare Lifting Plans, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.
Good knowledge of UAE lifting regulations, HSE requirements, and international lifting safety standards.
Knowledge and experience with cranes, lifting appliances, lifting accessories, and related equipment.
LEEA qualification/certification is preferred. Candidates holding one or more LEEA courses will be given preference.
Strong technical report-writing and documentation skills.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently and conduct site-based inspections.
UAE driving licence is an advantage.
