Qualification (minimum)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
- MBA (Advantageous)
- PMP certified (Advantageous)
Experience (minimum)
- 10 years relevant experience, including at least 5 years in operations within the Oil & Gas Industry at a Supervisory level.
- UAE Experience (Oil & Gas) Minimum 3 years (mandatory)
- Proficient work experiences in Mechanical static and rotating equipment, Piping and HVAC, and Engineering experience for new or replacement gas turbine generator and/or gas compressor projects as a Mechanical Engineer or Engineer in gas turbine and/or gas compressor OEM/vendor in 5 years.

Job Description & Responsibilities
- Prepare bidding documents, evaluate bids, carry out clarifications and conduct meetings; supervise the installation and commissioning activities related to gas turbine generator, gas compressor, and mechanical rotating and static equipment for installation, replacement, operation & maintenance of future and ongoing projects.
- Assess existing facilities' remaining lifetime through confirmation of existing mechanical equipment system operational risks.
- Accountable for effective implementation and management of activities related to the mechanical piping and HVAC engineering discipline of the assigned company facilities as per set quality standards, policies & procedures.
- Key decisions with significant impact on project execution are referred to the Superior for approval before implementation.
- Coordinate activities with other units within the Department as well as other related sections.
- Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, carry out technical clarifications and arrange kick‑off meetings related to the mechanical piping and HVAC engineering works.
- Review mechanical piping and HVAC engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications etc.
- Monitor checks on mechanical piping and HVAC equipment; provide technicians with relevant documentation, support, material, tools and guidance to ensure installation/calibration/commissioning activities are carried out as per directions while addressing all non‑conformances raised by the team to ensure timely provision of solutions.
Special Competencies
- Engineering experience (FEED & EPC) in Generator engineering.
- Mechanical design, equipment installation, commissioning and maintenance.
Job Specific Requirements
- Strong knowledge and experience in the application of process operation systems and technology in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Excellent understanding of any discipline engineering including mechanical (static and rotating), piping, HVAC and instruments.
- Understanding of process engineering principles.
- Understanding of the whole system of gas turbine generator and gas compressor packages.
- Drafting skills for EPC tender and contract conditions.
- Analytical thinking and knowledge for risk assessment and presentation for improvement plan.
- Time management, multi‑tasking skills, problem‑solving skills.
