Job summary

Archirodon invites a highly experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our UAE office for a major Oil & Gas EPC project. The role focuses on reviewing drawings, providing technical design support, and coordinating with engineering, construction, QA/QC, procurement, planning, and subcontractors on site.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical engineering degree, 8–10 years of Oil & Gas/EPC experience, strong site exposure, and familiarity with ADNOC standards and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant Oil & Gas/EPC experience.
• Strong site experience is highly preferred.
• Experience in ADNOC projects/UAE Oil & Gas projects is an advantage.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and good knowledge of ASME/API standards.
• Strong technical coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, equipment layouts, specifications, and engineering documents for site execution.
• Provide technical design support to site construction teams and resolve mechanical design-related issues.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, Technical Queries (TQs), method statements, and technical submittals.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, Procurement, Planning, and subcontractors.
• Ensure mechanical works comply with ADNOC requirements, project specifications, ASME, API, and applicable international codes and standards.
• Monitor engineering revisions and design changes and ensure the latest approved drawings are available at site.
• Support mechanical equipment installation, piping, supports, fabrication, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Assist with MTOs, as-built drawings, inspections, and project handover documentation.

Archirodon has been awarded a major Oil & Gas EPC project in UAE, and is currently building a team of experienced Lead Engineers, who will be based in our UAE office and lead the multidiscipline Engineering of the project.

Project includes the detailed engineering and design, quality assurance and control, procurement/supply, interface management, construction/installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning/start-up of Hydrocarbon & non-Hydrocarbon systems and management including all works required for the job completion. The main objective of this brownfield project is to increase the production handling capacity by adding a new Production Train and associated facilities at an existing Central Degassing Station and a new gas lift compressor train at another existing Central Degassing Station.

Role Summary:
