Job summary

NMDC Group in the UAE seeks an experienced Foreman to lead maintenance, repair and planned servicing of heavy earthmoving equipment and mobile cranes. You will ensure maximum fleet availability through structured PM execution and hands-on supervision.

You will coordinate spare parts, manage a team of technicians, enforce safety, and produce daily status and weekly PM reports to the Workshop Superintendent. This role demands strong leadership, practical mechanical knowledge, and commitment to

Qualifications

7+ years of maintenance experience on heavy earthmoving equipment and/or mobile cranes.
2+ years in a supervisory role.
Ability to read OEM service manuals, hydraulic schematics, and electrical diagrams.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, undercarriage and crane structural inspection.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for earthmoving equipment and cranes per OEM intervals.
Supervise corrective repairs including engine overhauls, hydraulic cylinder rebuilds, undercarriage replacement, and crane inspections.
Lead a team of technicians; conduct toolbox talks, allocate daily tasks, and enforce PTW/LOTO and PPE compliance.
Identify technician skills gaps and deliver on-the-job training in hydraulic systems, crane inspection, load chart reading, and earthmoving diagnostics.
Raise Material Requisitions for spare parts and PM kits; expedite critical POs with Procurement to minimise downtime.
Maintain minimum stock levels for fast-moving items and coordinate parts traceability with Stores.
Submit daily equipment status reports and weekly PM compliance reports to the Workshop Superintendent.

Job description

Seeking an experienced Foreman to lead the maintenance, repair, and planned servicing of heavy earthmoving equipment
and mobile cranes. The role supports dredging and marine infrastructure projects by ensuring maximum fleet availability through structured PM execution, hands-on
technical supervision, and spare parts coordination.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for earthmoving equipment (excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders) and mobile/crawler cranes per OEM intervals.
Supervise corrective repairs including engine overhauls, hydraulic cylinder rebuilds, undercarriage replacement, and crane structural/wire rope inspections.
Lead and coordinate a team of technicians; conduct toolbox talks, allocate daily tasks, and enforce PTW/LOTO and PPE compliance.
Identify technician skills gaps and deliver on-the-job training in hydraulic systems, crane inspection, load chart reading, and earthmoving diagnostics.
Raise Material Requisitions for spare parts and PM kits; expedite critical POs with Procurement to minimise equipment downtime.

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years' maintenance experience on heavy earthmoving equipment and/or mobile cranes; minimum 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong working knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, undercarriage, and crane structural inspection.
Ability to read OEM service manuals, hydraulic schematics, and electrical diagrams.
