Job summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant in Dubai to strengthen our ME Finance team. The role focuses on maintaining robust reporting, preparing statements, and providing insights to support strategic decisions.

You will work with cross-functional teams and be involved in ERP optimization, audits, and strengthening internal controls, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and compliance in a dynamic, global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
• Qualified accountant with globally recognised accounting qualification.
• 5-10 years’ experience in equivalent industries and Middle East region.
• Hands-on role with data entry and report preparation; not a management position.
• FP&A experience and history of improving reporting is highly advantageous.
• Fluency in English is a must; Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial analysis schedules reviewing company performance and trends.
• Support improvements to Middle East financial analysis and reporting using Power BI and automation.
• Assist in accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger ensuring compliance with group reporting requirements.
• Generate financial statements, forecasts and budgets; ensure timely monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, HR and finance to provide financial insights for decisions.
• Develop and implement accounting policies ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
• Assist with annual audits and coordinate with external auditors for timely completion.
• Support internal audits and control assessments; close out actions with Financial Controller ME.
• Prepare quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and participate in reviews.
• Present financial information to Financial Controller ME with variance analysis and forecasts.
• Support ERP improvement projects and future implementations as required.
