Job summary

Al Sahraa Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a detail-oriented Material Assistant to support material handling, containerization and transport coordination in our oil & gas focused operations. You will ensure safe movement of goods, accurate storage and timely delivery to production teams.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, a relevant Bachelor’s preferred, at least 3 years of material handling experience, and proficiency in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's preferred in supply chain or related field.
• 3 years of relevant material handling/warehouse experience in Oil & Gas.
• Proficient in English; strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material and supply needs with various departments.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed.
• Receive, inspect and store incoming materials and supplies.
• Maintain accurate records of materials and supplies.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to production teams.
• Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing and resolve issues.
• Conduct regular inventory checks for discrepancies or shortages.
• Monitor material usage and waste to identify improvements.
• Assist in developing inventory management policies and procedures.
• Train and supervise junior material assistants as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and storage area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with various departments to determine material and supply needs
• Monitor inventory levels and order materials as needed

• Maintain accurate records of all materials and supplies
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to production teams

• Forklift certification is a plus
