Job summary

Confidential Company seeks a Vetting Coordinator to support the Vetting Manager in ensuring vessel fleet compliance with industry standards and internal policies. The role focuses on planning SIRE-related activities, maintaining records, and coordinating inspections across the fleet.

Ideal candidates will have shore-based maritime experience, tanker seagoing background, and strong English communication skills. Travel locally and internationally is possible.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid CoC with Master Mariner/Chief Mate/Chief Engineer권.
• Shore-based maritime experience in a relevant position is mandatory.
• Seagoing tanker experience must be listed in the application.
• Education or certification in maritime field or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with SIRE 2.0 OCIMF CDI SIR and RISQ standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist Vetting Manager in planning and executing SIRE-related activities.
• Maintain accurate vetting records in relevant databases.
• Coordinate vessel vetting inspections with Operations.
• Analyze vetting performance and identify trends for improvement.
• Assist with vetting responses and screening matters.
• Review PIQs, HVPQs and photos for SIRE submissions.
• Organize Vetting Team activities and report to Vetting Manager.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and procedures.
• Build strong relations with owners, customers, and vessel crews.

Job Family Group VETTING Shore-Based Tanker Fleet Specific Business Unit Ship Management Level Ex-Mariners Experienced Professionals Coordinator Role The Vetting Coordinator reports directly to and is accountable to the Vetting Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a Vetting Coordinator to assist the Vetting Manager in ensuring that all managed vessels remain fully compliant with relevant industry standards regulatory requirements and internal Company policies

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Vetting Manager in the planning coordination and execution of all SIRE-related matters and daily vetting activities
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date vetting records within the relevant databases
• Organizing and monitoring all vessel vetting inspections in a timely manner in close coordination with the Vetting Manager and Operations Department
• Monitoring fleet vetting inspections analyze vetting performance and identify trends and corrective actions for continual improvement
• Assisting in vetting responses questionnaires and all related vetting and screening matters
• Reviewing PIQs HVPQs and photographs for submission as required under SIRE
• Organizing the activities of the Vetting Team reporting such activities to the Vetting Manager to ensure the team operates in an efficient and orderly manner
• Cooperating in the fleet’s marine quality safety and security standards remain in full compliance with Company requirements at all times
• Fostering and maintaining strong working relationships with all entities owners customers and in particular vessel crews

Qualifications

• Holder of Certificate of Competency (CoC) Master Mariner, Chief Mate, or Chief Engineer.
• Mandatory professional shore-based experience in a relevant maritime position.
• Seagoing experience aboard tankers (History must be listed in the application)
• Relevant education or certification in the maritime field, or equivalent practical experience in vessel vetting.
• Sound knowledge and practical experience of industry best practices, standards, and programs, including SIRE 2.0, OCIMF, CDI SIR, and RightShip RISQ.
• Excellent command of the English language, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to coordinate and cooperate effectively within a team.
• Ability to easily adapt to a multicultural working environment and consistently demonstrate professionalism and integrity.
• Full compliance with, and adaptability to, internal corporate policies and procedures.
• Flexibility to travel both locally and internationally (preferred).
