Bahri in Dubai seeks an experienced Master Mariner to monitor day-to-day vessel operations, liaise between ships and the organization, and ensure compliance with safety, certifications, and regulatory requirements. You will coordinate inspections, audits, and shore activities to keep fleet operations safe and economical.
The role requires 3–7 years as Master on VLCC vessels and at least 2 years as a marine superintendent ashore.
ToMonitorthedaytodayoperationsofthevessels.Liaiseandactasthefocalpointbetweentheshipsandtheorganizationandmonitorallaspectsofsafety,certificationsandregulatorrequirements.OrganizeandfollowuponAudit’s,inspectionsandsurveysinordertoensurecompanyownedvesselsareoperatedinasafe,efficientandeconomicalmannerandincompliancewithstatutoryrulesandregulations.
Monitor,arrangeandrespondtoSIRE/CDIinspectionsasrequiredbyowner’scommercialdepartmentoranyflaginspectionsinordertoensurecompliancewithrequiredrulesandregulations.Visitvesselstoassistwiththepre-vettinginspectionsandcarryoutanyotherauditsasrequiredbythemanagementinordertoidentifyanypotentialrisksinadvance.
Participateintheappointmentofagenciesandfollow-upwiththeminordertoensuretimelydisbursementsandinvoicingforowner’shusbandrymatters.
Monitorships/vesselstransitinhighriskareas.Overseetestingofalertsandliaisewithserviceprovidersfortroubleshooting.
Monitorandsupportvessel'sload/dischargingoperationsincoordinationwithcommercialoperators.
Providesupporttoassignedvesselsonmattersrelatedtooperations,safetyandemergencies;andensureallpossibleassistanceisaccordedforthesafeprosecutionofthevoyage.Investigatenavigationalandoperationalincident
