Job summary

Weatherford is seeking a Cost Accountant/Analyst to support the Plant Accounting team at ADM Abu Dhabi. You will drive standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting, and period-close processes in a JD Edwards environment, reporting to the Plant Controller.

The role develops technical and analytical skills for progression within manufacturing finance. You will work across costing, reporting, and audit prep, coordinating with operations and HR to keep costs aligned with production

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
CPA, CA, ICWA, or ACCA qualification is preferred.
2–4 years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Some exposure to cost accounting, variance analysis, or inventory is preferred.

Responsibilities

Support standard costs across BOMs and routings in JDE.
Prepare and validate cost component data for annual cost roll.
Review labor and overhead rate schedules with operations and HR.
Assist with month-end cost accounting close and WIP reconciliation in JDE.
Analyze variances including Job Cost Variance (JCV) and Purchase Price Variance (PPV).
Prepare variance schedules and present reports to the Plant Controller.
Support preparation of variance and performance reports for plant management.
Assist with ERP costing and financial reporting improvements.
