Job summary

Abu Dhabi Ports seeks a seasoned professional to lead vessel management solutions across the fleet, ensuring seamless integration of PMS, Crewing, HSEQ, and related platforms. The role focuses on driving digital transformation, data visibility, and improved operational efficiency across maritime operations.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 5 years of hands-on experience with fleet systems, IT infrastructure, and vendor management, including

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, IT, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in digital solutions, fleet systems, IT infrastructure, or technology project management.
• Experience managing maritime communication systems and technology vendors.
• AMOS, NS5, Helm CONNECT, ShipNet, Danaos, or similar vessel management systems.
• SAP, Oracle, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent ERP platforms.
• Power BI and reporting tools proficiency.
• Maritime communications (VSAT, Starlink, Inmarsat, Iridium).
• IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and systems integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the selection, implementation, and optimization of vessel management solutions across the fleet.
• Drive digital transformation and process automation initiatives across fleet operations.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and performance analytics to support management decision-making.
• Drive system integration between vessel, ERP, finance, procurement, crewing, and HSEQ platforms.
• Manage vessel and shore-based IT hardware, networks, and technology assets.
• Oversee vessel communication systems including VSAT, Starlink, Inmarsat, and related connectivity solutions.
• Ensure technology reliability, cybersecurity compliance, and operational continuity.
• Manage IT asset lifecycle, upgrades, and technical support requirements.
• Lead vendor evaluations, contract negotiations, renewals, and SLA management.
• Monitor supplier performance and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Standardize operational processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure systems support ISM Code, IMO requirements, ISO standards, and client requirements.
• Support audits, inspections, and governance requirements.
• Drive user adoption of new systems and technologies.
• Deliver training, user guidance, and implementation support.
• Promote innovation and digital best practices across the fleet.

Responsibilities

Fleet Systems & Digital Solutions

• Manage and optimize vessel management systems including PMS, Crewing, HSEQ, Procurement, and Fleet Management platforms.
• Lead digital transformation and process automation initiatives across fleet operations.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and performance analytics to support management decision-making.
• Drive system integration between vessel, ERP, finance, procurement, crewing, and HSEQ platforms.

IT Infrastructure & Communications

• Manage vessel and shore-based IT hardware, networks, and technology assets.
• Oversee vessel communication systems including VSAT, Starlink, Inmarsat, and related connectivity solutions.
