Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Tax Manager to lead planning, compliance, and advisory services across UAE and GCC markets. You will oversee direct and indirect tax returns, monitor regulatory changes, and coordinate with the tax and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate has 7–12 years of GCC tax experience, strong UAE VAT, transfer pricing, and international tax knowledge, with demonstrated leadership in a fast-paced environment. This role reports to finance leadership at Tanqeeb.

Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

• Delivering a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within timeframe. Building relationships and interacting with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise. Providing innovative tax planning and reviewing complex income tax returns.
• Ensure timely and accurate of direct and indirect tax returns in UAE / across the GCC (if regional tax manager)
• Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.
• Provide Strategic tax advisory and planning services to optimize tax efficiency while ensuring compliance with regional tax regulations (if regional tax manager)
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations in relevant jurisdictions and assess their impact on the business.
• Plan for and develop overall return calendar and coordinate timing and inputs with tax team.
• Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
• Provide guidance on tax implications of cross-border transactions, including permanent establishment, transfer pricing, and VAT implications.
• Provide support with various internal audits and special tax related projects.
• Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.
• Collaborate effectively within the tax and finance team to maintain high standards of tax reporting and compliance

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

The ideal years of experience for a Manager - Tax typically range from 7 to 12 years in GCC market. This range allows individuals to gain comprehensive knowledge in tax law, compliance, planning, and strategy, as well as leadership experience.
