Job summary

Inception42 in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced IT Asset & Vendor Management Lead to own the asset lifecycle, vendor contracts, licensing, budgets and governance. You will maintain inventories, audits, renewals, and reporting, coordinating with Finance and Procurement to drive cost efficiency.

Required: a Bachelor's in IT/CS/Business, 10+ years in IT asset and vendor management, familiarity with ITSM platforms and ITIL, and strong stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of proven experience in IT asset management and vendor management.
• Experience managing IT contracts, licensing agreements, and vendor SLAs.
• Hands‑on experience with ITSM platforms and asset management systems.
• Strong understanding of IT Service Management frameworks (ITIL preferred).
• Experience working with procurement and finance teams on vendor and invoice management.
• Strong organisation, documentation, analytical reporting, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the IT asset lifecycle from procure­ment to disposal with accurate inventories.
• Implement asset policies, conduct periodic audits to verify accuracy and compliance.
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate procurement, service delivery and support.
• Contribute to vendor evaluation, selection and contract negotiations.
• Manage technology contracts, subscriptions, maintenance agreements and licenses; track compliance and renewals.
• Coordinate renewals and renegotiations to maintain service continuity and optimise costs.
• Monitor vendor SLAs and KPIs; address gaps with service owners.
• Produce ITSM, asset utilisation and operational reports; analyse trends and suggest improvements.
• Maintain evidence for IT governance and compliance reporting.
• Validate invoices with Finance against contracts and services; monitor expenses.

Own the IT asset lifecycle, vendor relationships, technology contracts, and software licensing. Maintain reliable inventories, monitor service commitments, and coordinate with Finance and Procurement to control costs, validate invoices, and meet governance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage IT assets from procurement and allocation through maintenance and disposal, with accurate hardware and software inventories.
• Implement asset policies, standards, and procedures; conduct periodic audits to verify inventory accuracy and compliance.
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate procurement, service delivery, and technical support against contractual commitments.
• Contribute to vendor evaluation, selection, and contract negotiations, using performance and service evidence.
• Manage technology contracts, subscriptions, maintenance agreements, and software licences; track compliance and renewal dates.
• Coordinate renewals and renegotiations to maintain service continuity and optimise costs.
• Monitor vendor SLAs and service KPIs, elevate delivery gaps, and agree corrective actions with service owners and providers.
• Produce accurate ITSM, asset utilisation, and operational reports; analyse trends and recommend service and process improvements.
• Maintain evidence for IT governance and compliance reporting.
• Validate vendor invoices with Finance against contracts and delivered services; monitor expenses and contribute to budget planning.
• Track inventory accuracy, licensing compliance, vendor SLA performance, timely renewals, reporting quality, invoice accuracy, and cost improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of proven experience in IT asset management and vendor management.
• Experience managing IT contracts, licensing agreements, and vendor SLAs.
• Hands‑on experience with ITSM platforms and asset management systems.
• Strong understanding of IT Service Management frameworks (ITIL preferred).
• Experience working with procurement and finance teams on vendor and invoice management.
• Strong organisation, documentation, analytical reporting, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to manage competing vendor priorities, resolve problems, and coordinate escalations across technical, procurement, and finance teams.

Nice to Have

• Relevant ITIL, IT asset, software asset, vendor governance, or licensing qualifications, such as ITIL 4, CITAM, CSAM, or CVMP.
• Microsoft licensing or enterprise agreement management qualifications, or ISO 20000 / ISO 27001 awareness training.
