Role Summary

The Digital Channels and Internal Communications Manager – META Hub is responsible for managing Lilly’s regional social media presence to strengthen and sustain the company’s image and its branding. The role is also responsible for impactful internal communication strategies across the region and plays a key part in shaping Lilly’s culture narrative and ensuring consistent, values‑driven messaging across internal and digital channels. Working closely with affiliate communications, government affairs, marketing and HR teams, the manager will help position Lilly as an employer of choice and a trusted voice and partner in the healthcare ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
Internal Communications
  • Develop and implement internal communication plans that support business priorities, leadership messaging, sustain Lilly’s business culture and effective employee engagement across the META region.
  • Establish the right governance to ensure strong alignment of the internal communication strategy to the overall Comms Strategy and quick ability to adapt and adjust.
  • Create and manage content for internal channels including newsletters, leadership messages, and town halls.
  • Partner with HR, DEI, and functional teams to promote initiatives that enhance employee experience from onboarding to employee initiatives and reinforce Lilly’s culture.
  • Support change management and leadership communications through strategic messaging and impactful storytelling.
  • Act as a communications advisor to various internal stakeholders, providing guidance on tone, messaging, and channel strategy.
  • Support crisis communication and reputation management efforts in coordination with global and affiliate teams.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams including HR, Marketing, Legal, and Compliance to ensure communication initiatives are aligned and compliant.
Digital Channels & Branding
  • Launch and manage Lilly META’s social media accounts and corporate website accounts across the different affiliate geographies, ensuring alignment with global brand guidelines and local relevance while having a coordinated and cohesive regional approach.
  • Develop and execute a regional content strategy aligned with local business objectives.
  • Work closely with HR and external vendors to create and launch Employee Value Proposition (EVP) on selected social media channels.
  • Create and curate engaging content that showcases Lilly’s people, culture, innovation, and impact across the META region and in specific geographies.
  • Collaborate with affiliate teams and External Comms to amplify local stories and campaigns through regional social media channels.
  • Manage social media workflow with external agencies and liaise with external vendors and for content creation, media planning and performance tracking.
  • Develop the right KPIs and put in place monitoring and analysis systems for social media performance and trends to optimize engagement and reach.
  • Work closely with Marketing teams to ensure cross functional alignment of strategy and content on the different social media platforms.
  • Laise with all the concerned industry regulators to ensure clear understanding of and full compliance with all regulations.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
  • Track and analyze communication effectiveness across internal and social media channels.
  • Use insights to refine strategies and improve content relevance and impact.
  • Stay current with communication trends and best practices to drive innovation.
  • Play a major role in accompanying Lilly in its internal transformation and external growth.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
  • Advanced degree, substantial relevant experience or certification in digital communications or social media (preferred)
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years in internal communications, social media management, corporate affairs or HR
  • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or regulated industries (preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage multi‑channel communications, content creation and managing social media platforms
  • Experience working in a global or matrixed organization
  • Regional experience in META markets is a plus
